Why this website/blog/space? Start here…
A while back in my life I realized that I have to make up my mind about something and it is better if I do it earlier in life rather than later. I had to answer a very difficult question:
What am I going to dedicate my life to? What is it going to have priority in my life? If I had to choose one thing that is worth investing all my energy in, what would that be? I remember very clearly making this decision. I decided I want to invest everything I have in people. Young or old, regardless of background or place, if I can do anything to help anyone, I will not only make myself available but make sure to go out of my way to help as much as I can. This is deeply rooted in my faith, has nothing to do with me being better than anyone else, really. This has everything to do with the pillars of my faith. I strongly believe that it is impossible to love God without loving people.
This online space is a direct result of my desire to help out and contribute to our global village.
I am going to share things I have learned or I am still learning in a few areas of my practice, and will only try to share practical and working knowledge.

“So how does it work? $10.00 buys one sack of grain, usually sorghum (a local staple), and the sacks weigh approximately 110 pounds. One sack can feed a small family for several months – hopefully long enough to see them well fed through the end of this conflict and its aftereffects. After we’ve raised a considerable amount of donations we transfer the funds from our centers of influence in the US, Austria, and Romania to our bank account in South Sudan. Once the funds are collected by Miss Mary Ruun, the director of Miak Wadang South Sudan, they are put to work providing aid to those suffering. The grain is generally purchased from suppliers at the Northern Sudan boarder and shipped by boat or truck to the affected regions. If conditions allow, a small team will travel to South Sudan to help coordinate the grain distribution. Otherwise, our local director will work with locals to oversee the distribution of the grain to those who desperately need it.”
